For a week every August, the Litang Horse Festival draws thousands to the soaring heights of Litang in Western China. Tourists, journalists,
filmmakers, and Chinese officials flock to “sky city” to learn about Tibetan culture through spectacular horse races and mesmerizing traditional dances.

The Ride For Green team will spend two days at this colourful, high-profile event before crossing into the heart of Kham. Come visit the team at the Kham Aid information tent - enjoy a respite from the hubbub of the festival, chat with our field staff, and pick up information about our programs.  Our tent will have great Western amenities such as coffee and internet service.
